Let’s us Celebrate all the Accomplishments of the beautiful Ms. Taraji P. Henson. Born a Washington, D.C., Native,  September 11, 1970. Taraji went off to earn a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts,  From Howard University. Truly one of the most Amazing African American actress known today. Her Career beginning in Hollywood with guest-roles on several television shows. Taraji making her huge Debut in the film Baby Boy (2001). A couple years later in 2005 she does it yet again in the awesome film Hustle & Flow. Then off to Play Queenie in David Fincher’s The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008), receiving a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. 2010. Henson, also makes appearances in the comedy Date Night, and co-starred in the remake of The Karate Kid. In 2012, Henson was along with a large group of talent was casted for a film called, Think Like A Man, and it’s Sequel. Henson’s Tv career casted as a regular has been The Division, Boston Legal and Eli Stone. From 2011 to 2013, she co-starred as Detective Jocelyn Carter in the CBS drama Person of Interest. Starring as the leading role of Tiffany Rubin, For the Lifetime Movie Network film Taken from Me: The Tiffany Rubin Story, for which she received a nomination for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie. As of  2015, Taraji is starring as the Bad Ass Mz. Cookie Lyon for the FOX drama series “Empire.”


Congratulations to Taraji Henson who was nominated for “Best performance on a Television Series-Drama” and to Fox on”Best Television Series Drama for “Empire.” Taraji Previous winning Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Actress in a Drama Series. Don’t forget her recent nomination for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.

What’s The Golden Globe Award??? It’s an American accolade bestowed by the 93 members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) recognizing excellence in film and television, both domestic and foreign. The annual formal ceremony and dinner at which the awards are presented is a major part of the film industry’s awards season, which culminates each year with the Academy Awards. The 72nd Golden Globe Awards, honoring the best in film and television for 2014, were presented on January 11, 2015, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California, where they have been held annually since 1961. Their 73rd Award show will take place in 2016.
